Like Prince, this format is known by many names. WAV files, short for Waveform Audio File Format, are also known as Broadcast Wave Files, which are sometimes referred to as B-WAV. For a long time, this format was associated with Windows computers as a counterpart to Apple's AIFF format, but both are cross compatible. |
