A talkback microphone is a way for producers and engineers in a control room to communicate with talent in a studio (i.e. ADR booth, Foley stage, recording studio, etc). An omni-directional microphone is most often used for the talkback mic so that anyone's voice in the control room is picked up – even if they aren't sitting in front of the microphone. |
