Polyester Stock

From Chace Audio

A film or tape base.

Polyester is a type of pliable, durable plastic and is the main constituent of most current film and tape bases, or stock. The film industry started using polyester in the 1960s, and by the 1980s polyester had mostly replaced acetate-based stocks. Polyester is revered for its non-flammable and resilient nature.
