Laydown

From Chace Audio

A laydown is the recording of a final audio track to a deliverable medium, (i.e. film, tape, or digital file), and is often monitored by an engineer for quality control. The term “laydown” does not refer to marrying audio to picture (this would be defined as a "layback"), but instead refers to the transfer of sound from one place to another for future utilization.
