Ingest

The process of digitizing or capturing media as data and then storing it on a computer/server is known as ingestion.

When ingestion is discovered to be faulty or corrupted, it is referred to as "indigestion." Bah dum bum. OK, that may not be the case, but one certainly may feel queasy at the prospect of ingesting data a second time nonetheless.
