High-pass Filter

A high-pass filter is a type of EQ that reduces the amount of low frequency information in an audio source by gradually "rolling off" the low end, starting at a specified frequency point. High frequencies, however, will pass through the filter unaffected - hence the term "high-pass".

This type of EQ filter is generally used to remove rumble or hum in a track.
