Filter

From Chace Audio

In terms of equalization, a filter targets specific frequencies to be removed or reduced. For example, if a track is found to have a trigger tone at 12kHz, an EQ filter around 12kHz can be applied to eliminate frequencies at and around 12kHz. Although this will effectively remove the tone, it will also remove all other sound from the program that had originally been intended around 12kHz.
