Fader

From Chace Audio

A fader is a sliding volume controller that gives the user control over the input/output volume of an audio signal passing through a piece of equipment. Faders are most often found on mixing consoles and within DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations). Faders essentially serve the same function as the volume knob found on almost any audio playback device such as a car stereo or television set.
