FPS

From Chace Audio

FPS stands for “frames per second” and is used to describe the rate of consecutive frames in a moving image. For example, in the United States, standard film speed is 24fps – in 1 second, 24 consecutive frames pass by. At this rate, in one minute there are 90 film frames. In Europe, standard film speed is 25fps.

The equivalent to measure audiotape speed is IPS, or inches per second.
