Azimuth

From Chace Audio

Azimuth is the vertical alignment in the plane of the tape path along the record and playback heads of a tape machine or mag dubber. Proper alignment ensures that multiple tracks, such as left and right channels, play across the head at the exact same time. See "Azimuth Errors" for further information regarding azimuth.
