Pack

The term "pack" (or “wind”) refers to the overall shape and tension of a fully wound reel of film or tape. A “bad pack” may be uneven, too loose, or too tight. If a reel is placed in long-term storage with a bad pack, there is a risk of damage to its edges. A “good pack” ensures that the film or tape is wound evenly and securely on its reel.
